McLaren Automotive reveals the new MCLAREN GT, a unique interpretation of a modern Grand Tourer and McLaren’s first true lifestyle vehicle. In re-imagining the spirit of traditional Grand Touring, McLaren has redefined the modern GT ownership experience with a car that is lighter, faster, and more engaging, with great space, comfort, and usability. Each vehicle is carefully designed from the inside out and hand-assembled at the McLaren Production Centre in England. The first supercar to use cashmere, the McLaren GT features this sumptuous fabric on the seats and key touchpoints in the cabin. Designed for function, the GT’s rear luggage bay is trimmed with SuperFabric, an innovative woven fabric that is infused with a layer of tiny armored guard plates providing increased resistance to stains, cuts, nicks, and abrasions. The GT uses Nappa leather as standard and can be upgraded to soft grain luxury leather or Alcantara®, depending on the customer’s preference. Put the pedal to the metal and get yourself into one of these fast. The McLaren GT is available to order now from McLaren retailers worldwide.
HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?
RISE GARDENS offers an indoor “smart garden” system that enables you to grow, year-round, a wide variety of quality, pesticide-free veggies and herbs, even leafy greens like kale, swiss chard, arugula, as well as tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, and microgreens. Using vertical farming technology, simplified, Rise Gardens provides an indoor garden that takes 10 minutes to maintain but provides professional-grade produce. As an avid gardener himself, founder Hank Adams developed the high-tech system using hydroponic technology, allowing it to use Wi-Fi and a simple, corresponding mobile app. By following the app’s water and nutrients schedule (no sun or soil needed) indoor gardening is made easy. The company’s mission is to connect people to the food they eat. An added bonus? The garden is so attractive that it can serve as a stylish addition to your home décor. The Italian jewelry brand IPPOLITA has for the first time removed the traditional “behind-the-glass” boundary found in most luxury jewelers at their new Chicago boutique. Clients are invited to touch, try on, and experience the jewelry in an intimate way as though opening one’s own jewelry box. As an artist first and a designer second, Ippolita Rostagno believes that the craftsmanship behind her designs is as important as the beauty. There is no better way to discover this than to immerse oneself in the jewelry brand known for its organic shapes, effortless layering, and versatility. “I have created a new kind of luxury experience that encourages women to explore the beauty of the pieces within a radically new environment,” explains Rostagno, Creative Director and CEO. IPPOLITA is located at 900 N. Michigan in Chicago, ippolita.com.
