Lake Forest’s Brooke Tagliaferro is often volunteering and helping at her children’s schools, acting as a docent for the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation, and usually renovating some part of her home. This busy mom shares her shore and city favorites with Sheridan Road magazine.
What’s on the horizon? More house projects
Mantra? What I tell my kids everyday—“be kind and try your best”
Best grooming tip? Hyaluronic acid serum and supplements
Guilty pleasure? Cereal for dinner when my husband is out of town
Favorite foods? Ramen noodles from Ramen-San or anything with black truffles
Music you love? Everything from classical to Talking Heads to 90s Hip hop
Best advice ever given to you? From my dad—“Don’t worry about the past and things you cannot change, learn from it and move on”
Best advice you’ve given? You’ll never know unless you try
Earliest memory? I was three—sitting at the kitchen counter for breakfast telling my mom about the dream I’d just had
When you wake up, you? Finish the water bottle on my night stand
Before bed, you? Plan my menu for the week or plan my next day

Place to eat? Deer Path Inn, The Gallery, Abigails Bistro, Guildhall, or MH Kitchen for lunch

The perfect day is? An early class at The Dailey Method Lake Forest, running around with the kids and my husband, and a family dinner at Deer Path Inn

Your style is? Classic but on trend—a great pair of jeans with a basic top paired with a statement bag and shoes

The perfect day is? Early to the Art Institute, lunch at Pierrot Gourmet, shopping along the Mag Mile and Oak Street, and a date night with my husband at one of the many amazing restaurants
