The Occasion: More than 600 supporters of Loyola Academy filled the Grand Ballroom of the Chicago Hilton during the Jesuit prep school’s annual President’s Dinner on November 4.
The Highlights: The night honored the Sally and James C. Dowdle Family of Wilmette with the “Rev. Daniel A. Lord, S.J. Award for Distinguished Service in the Cause of Youth.”
The VIPs: Loyola President Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, S.J., gave kind words about the Dowdle family, and Christina Massi Filippini of Lake Forest served as the evening’s chairperson.
The End Result: More than $350,000 was raised for Loyola’s tuition assistance program, which supplies more than $4 million in funding to 30 percent of the school’s 2,000 students. goramblers.org
