The Occasion: Boys Hope Girls Hope held their annual dinner dance, auction, and casino at the Four Seasons Chicago on February 25, emceed by Mary Ann Ahern from NBC5 News.
The Highlight: Former Boys Hope Girls Hope Scholar and Harvard graduate Lucien Carter spoke about his experience with the organization, crediting his success to the discipline and loving support he received through his time there.
The VIPs: Janet Hagen, chair of Under the Big Top, and co-presidents Ana Couri and Neilly Hallermann, created the circus atmosphere with clowns, a stilt walker, and carnival games.
The End Result: The 375 guests raised more than $350,000 for Boys Hope Girls Hope’s three group homes in Evanston, which provide a stable home and quality college preparatory education for their 24 scholars. chicagobhgh.org
