Chicago Botanic Garden
June 25, 2010
The Occasion: As one of the most-anticipated summer events on the North Shore, the Chicago Botanic Garden did not disappoint with its annual Dinner Dance, held on its breathtaking grounds in Glencoe.
The Scene: With cocktails on the Esplanade, and dinner in the pavilion, the scene was set with color blocks of raspberry, gold, and purple orchids mixed with illuminated white Lucite cubes atop white lacquer tables.
The VIPs: The committee for the grand fête was Mr. and Mrs. John Harris of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. King Harris of Winnetka.
The End Result: The more than 400 in attendance raised $425,000 to support the Garden’s conservation, education, and research programs.
