Linly Designs continues to gain attention around the globe as the Clarendon Hills-based, full-service interior design firm was selected as the exclusive U.S. interior design to be featured in Meghan and Harry’s baby book.
If you thought that 2018 was a monumental year for Linly Designs, just wait until you hear the latest news. Last year, the high- end boutique and its 11,000- square-foot showroom in Clarendon Hills made headlines as the only interior design firm from the United States included in Harry & Meghan – The Wedding Album, a coffee table book that chronicles the story of the prince and his new wife.
As this magazine was going to press, the team at Linly Designs was working on the company’s feature for Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club’s upcoming 100-year anniversary book—bringing the company a whole new level of exposure as they are positioned along- side some of the world’s most respected luxury brands.
So what’s new for spring? Think royal baby.
“The same London-based company that published the royal wedding album is working on their official baby album,” explains President and CEO Janet Linly, who recently joined the invitation-only Forbes Chicago Business Council. “We were contacted by the publisher earlier this year to be a part of this exciting book and once again we will be the only interior design firm from the U.S. featured alongside several other highly reputable companies from all around the world. We are honored!”
With summer on its way, there’s no better time to visit the recently renovated Linly Designs showroom.
In addition to new vignettes and displays, the showroom make- over includes a brand new 1,500 square foot design studio—offer- ing even more for clients and outside designers to see.
“With the recent launch of our new Trade Program, designers, stagers, and realtors are welcome to come and visit with their clients and shop directly with us,” explains Linly. “It’s much more convenient than spending time in traffic and trying to park at the Chicago Merchandise Mart.”
Details like this are what sets Linly Designs apart from other furniture stores and design studios. While its Accessory Call® service continues to lure in customers with a personal touch (which allows clients to live with their customized design for 24 hours, and any items they don’t want can be picked up the next day), additional design expertise in selecting high-end luxury furniture and home décor have elevated Linly Designs’ reputation both locally and nationally.
“We specialize in all aspects of interior design and can take each project from A to Z, no matter the size or scope of the work. When we leave our client’s home, rooms are not just furnished but fully completed to perfection,” says Linly, adding that the firm does not follow trends.
If anything, they set them—with a focus on creating timeless designs that transcend time and place.
“Our goal is to customize designs that fit each client’s personality and their home’s aesthetic. I will say that one of the trends we are excited to see more of, especially after our recent trip to the International Furniture Market in April, is that gray is on its way out and traditional patterns, details, and fabrics are making their comeback,” she says. “As a design firm specializing in an Old World, Tuscan aesthetic, we know that timeless and luxury are always on trend. And because we offer current high-end designs with classic styling, our clients understand that when they are working with our team the results, unlike trends, will stand the test of time.”
Linly’s recent accolades—from the encore request to be a part of royal family history to an exclusive invitation to join the Forbes Chicago Business Council—only reinforces the tenets her business was founded on. Criteria to join Forbes’ exclusive Council includes a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, as well as personal and professional achievements and honors.
“I am thrilled for this new opportunity and excited to connect and build relationships with other like-minded and successful professionals in my industry,” she adds. “We have had a busy year so far and I can’t wait to see what’s next on this journey.”
