This event-planning, married mother of two tells us the five things she can’t live without.
1. Alfresco dining
“After these harsh winters, nothing is better than relaxing with our friends and family on the patio.”
2. Chilled summer cocktails
“My new favorite is a refreshing mix of hibiscus tea, agave, fresh mint, lime, white rum, and club soda. I enjoy my drink more poured over a tall, vintage highball filled to the rim with ice.”
3. Stylish summer comfort
“I go for a more daring seasonal look for events with colorful, flowing cocktail dresses and chunky accessories. I nab great finds at Luxury Garage Sale on Wells Street in Old Town.”
4. Farmers market
“My weekly opportunity to obtain glorious fruits, veggies, and herbs to enhance each and every home-cooked meal.”
5. Big Summer Party
“This year, we’re celebrating “Midsummer” Swedish-style. A menu of grilled whole fish on cedar planks, pickled cucumbers with dill, chilled berries and cream…— you get the idea! Long tables with yellow and white graphic linens, antique monogrammed napkins, blue crystal glassware, and baskets of white hydrangeas with cascading ivy. Needless to say, this must take place outdoors, with ABBA playing and Aquavit being poured!”
