Comprised of both a 5K and a 1-mile kid’s race, this year’s Hinsdale event is the result of a partnership with the Robert Crown Center for Health Education. If you register with a charity entry, 100 percent of your registration will go directly to the RCC, which works to lead, educate and motivate kids toward healthy, happy and safe lives.
The event begins at 8 a.m. on Mother’s Day and will meet at S Washington St & W 2nd St in Hinsdale. Both races are open to several age divisions, and there will be at least one aid station on the 5K course as well as refreshments at the finish line. As an added bonus, Run Like A Mother hosts a fun post-race party for the whole family to experience. Extend the celebration beyond the finish line by enjoying food and refreshments, fun activities for kids and cool products and services from race sponsors.
For more information, maps, or to sign up for the May 12 Run Like a Mother 5K, visit runlikeamotherrace.com/city/chicago-il. Regular registration is $40, Charity registration is $94, and registration for the 1-mile kid’s event is $15. Training packages and volunteer opportunities are available.
