The brand-new JX, Infiniti’s first crossover car, has the capability to problem solve on and off the road. One of the CUV’s most intriguing and exciting features is Infiniti Connection, a personal concierge service that allows car owners to have their own personal assistant on call 24/7 with a touch of a button.
If this sounds similar to OnStar, think again. “With Infiniti Connection, the JX is on pace with the same caliber of excellence as, say, the Four Seasons,” says Peter Korallus, Executive Manager of Infiniti of Clarendon Hills. “Infiniti is definitely trying to emulate everyone’s service and one-up it. Offering customers anything, anytime to make the experience of owning the JX a true joy,” continues Peter. Essentially, the JX is always available to help, even if help means assisting with algebra homework.
Unlike the Acura MDX and Audi Q7, the JX offers both a front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. The front-wheel drive model allows for a lower price, thus creating a more affordable option for families looking for a functional crossover to fit their needs. The Infiniti JX gets 19 mpg, the highest fuel economy when compared to its competition.
With available seating for seven passengers and a sliding second row, Infiniti’s JX is one of the first crossovers with ample legroom in the third row, enough for an adult to sit comfortably. The second row also has the capability to collapse with a child’s car seat installed. So instead of struggling to remove the seat just to access the third row,Infiniti has simplified the process, resolving what is usually a huge headache and hassle for most SUV and CUV owners.
One of the crowning achievements of the new JX is the Back-Up Collision Intervention system.
“When you have five, six kids in the backseat, it’s hard to concentrate just on backing up. [The Back-Up Collision Intervention system] helps detect vehicles and objects from either side. If a vehicle appears to be entering your path, it gives you three layers of warning. First, visual, then, audio and gas pedal force feedback, and, finally, it will even apply the brakes to help you avoid a collision. So the vehicle will actually stop you, if you miss the first two signs,” explains Peter.
In addition to the BCI system, there are also round view monitors with moving detection that has front and rear sonar systems. Perfect for stop-and-go traffic and “for safety’s sake, this feature enables you to see around the entire vehicle,” concludes Peter, which is essential for a busy family.
Much like Infiniti of Clarendon Hills, the JX was built with you in mind. Streamlined features and a friendly, helpful staff at your disposal make the Infiniti JX a great addition to any family.
