This year, that doesn’t have to mean choosing between your favorite shows or the sunshine though. Imagine watching the game while grilling on the deck, catching your favorite show poolside and swimming laps during the commercials, or watching a movie together while lounging in the hot tub, all on a full-sized, flat screen HDTV.
Craig’s Distribution Solutions specializes in Ciil televisions that are fully sealed against the elements, perfect for outdoor installation.
“We have the patent on a design with no fans or filters,” says Bob Craig, owner of Craig’s Distribution Solutions. “Our competition uses fans and filters that have to be maintained. Our TVs don’t have to be maintained at all.”
They accomplished this with a specialty waterproof and dustproof enclosure housing the television with an internal thermal control system. They have impact-resistant safety glass covering the screen, waterproof speakers, and produce an LCD sharp contrast picture that can still be seen in direct sunlight. Unlike other outdoor TVs, the Ciil enclosure is constructed of aluminum instead of plastic, ensuring durability and longevity.
A look at the back of a Ciil television enclosure verifies that they were designed to accommodate the wide array of purposes televisions serve today. It has inputs for cable, satellite, Blu-ray, DVD, and video game systems, as well as the ability to port your computer into it for use as a monitor or for presentations. It can do everything an indoor TV can do, with the benefit of being able to function in almost any conditions.
“They work down to -40 degrees before they shut off automatically,” says Bob. “It’ll still be fine once it warms up again, but it automatically shuts off at -40.”
That durability has come in handy for some of their biggest customers. They’ve installed Ciil TVs at Soldier Field and on cruise ships for Carnival Cruise Lines. The flexibility of their TVs was even celebrated on NBC’s TODAY Show in a segment called “The Best of the Best.”
Their fully sealed televisions aren’t only good for keeping out extreme temperatures and rain, they’re also an excellent solution for high-impact indoor spaces, like workshops where airborne sawdust would ruin a normal television, or unpredictable environments like kitchens, playrooms, nurseries, or greenhouses. The patented heat-sink technology at work inside the enclosure keeps the television’s core cool when it’s hot, warm when it’s cold, and protected from any kind of liquid, dust, or insects.
In addition to mounting their televisions outside, Craig’s Distribution Solutions also installs built-in televisions into mirrors. It’s a popular technique in homes, but, especially in service industries like hotels, airports, and salons, it’s an amenity to which they’ve found customers are particularly responsive.
One thing is for sure. If you are considering purchasing an outdoor television, Craig’s is the place to go for expert advice, products, and installation.
