More than 420 supporters celebrated the season during the Community House’s annual fundraiser on December 3. Held within The Field House, which was adorned with eight crystal chandeliers, the evening included a special reception prior to dinner for the Community House’s Circle of Friends supporters. The Hinsdsale Central Madrigal Singers welcomed guests with their beautiful renditions of holiday classics. More than 150 vintages were a part of the event’s impressive silent wine auction. Guests danced the night away in Kettering Hall and were treated to a homemade donut station as they departed for the evening. Barbara and Robert Early and Andrea and Dick Burridge, Jr. served as the event’s co-chairs. Wine Auction co-chairs were Polly and Michael Ascher, Nancy and Jim Dugan, and Eileen and John Sachanda. Kevin Engstrom served as the evening’s guest speaker. He shared his powerful life journey of dealing with Asperger’s and how he overcame many of his struggles as a result of the services and therapy he received at Charlie’s Gift Autism Center, a program of The Community House. More than $220,000 was raised to support the programs and services at The Community House, which include Charlie’s Gift, Willowbrook Corner, and The Counseling Center.
