The Big Man came to town in style on December 2, during the Chamber of Commerce’s beloved Christmas Walk & Storybook Village. Santa Claus arrived in a firetruck to greet his many adoring fans, but not before the kids met Cookie the Gingerbread Man. Over 45 giant storybooks were on display throughout Hinsdale during the month of December, all detailing Cookie’s adventures around town. The Chamber also partnered with District 181 schools and allowed students from different grade levels to submit poems and artwork for the Storybooks. For the 46th year in a row, the trees around Village Hall were lit as tunes from Radio Disney filled the air. Children took rides on the Trackless Train Express while their moms and dads kicked off their holiday shopping at the local shops that stayed open for the event.
