Held on the evening of December 1 for members and guests of the Hinsdale Center for the Arts (HCA), a Preview Party of the organization’s holiday exhibit, “Objects of Desire,” brought out more than 50 supporters. The warm, candlelit atmosphere of the gallery space got all those shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts into the holiday spirit. The exhibit featured predominantly Illinois artisans and included original handmade jewelry, ceramics, fiber works, prints, paintings, books, accessories, and ornaments. One of the biggest hits of the party was featured artists Angela Morano, highly acclaimed milliner. Sales from the exhibit benefited the HCA and their mission of educating, encouraging, and facilitating participation in the arts while enriching individual and community life. Established in 1980, HCA has been serving the residents of DuPage and western Cook Counties for more than 20 years. The Center is open all year and offers classes and workshops in dance, music, theatre, the visual arts, and more.
