This Lake Forest house isn’t only the Mellijor’s home, it’s also a veritable gallery of the artwork they have spent their lives collecting and sponsoring.
Home & Garden
The last couple of years have seen a number of Lake Foresters heading up north to make new homes on large acreages in Antioch. This isn’t the beginning of an anti-Lake Forest movement, in fact, it’s far from it; none of them would ever dream of sacrificing their Lake Forest residency.
From a messy thicket of buckthorn to an award-winning elegant and organized garden, the Lemonis’ grounds have undergone an unreal transformation. Their home in Lake Forest was one of the only homes on Ridge Road during the early 1900s. Originally a two-story farmhouse, it was the only residential landmark on a multi-acre, family-owned farm. Throughout time, the land was sold off and developed. Now, six other homes surround it.
