More than 600 participants, 70 volunteers, and 30 wellness and animal rescue groups led to the success in late September on the grounds of the Lake Forest Recreation Center. The nonprofit, founded by the Roemer family of Lake Forest in memory of their teen son and brother, Patrick, who died in 2020, raised over $30,000 to help connect young adults living with depression and anxiety with Emotional Support Animals.
