The communities of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff celebrated America’s big day in patriotic fashion. The day began with the much-beloved Lake Bluff 4th of July Parade, as thousands lined the streets cheering and waving flags. This year’s theme was “Spirit and Service” and the Lake Bluff American Legion Post 510 served as the 2018 parade marshal. Many then headed over in the evening to Deerpath Community Park for a performance by Hairball, bringing 80s metal in a spectacular live concert. The perfect day was capped off by a remarkable fireworks display sponsored by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation. lb4july.org; friendsoflakeforestparksandrec.weebly.com
