Kicking off the 2017 season, North Shore guests joined Lake Forest Open Lands for an evening of live music, a preview of the upcoming plant and tree sale, silent and live auctions, bourbon tastings by Jim Beam, and barbeque supper. The 300 attendees raised $65,000 to support the group’s mission of connecting people to nature through education programming and special events, and ended the evening by lighting the traditional bonfire that will be featured at the annual fall event, Bagpipes & Bonfire. lfola.org
