North Shore families and friends gathered for the 29th annual festival and race to support the Lake Bluff Elementary School PTO. The Friday night fun began with games, prizes, a Haunted Forest and pizza dinner aimed to please all age groups. Beautiful weather the following morning brought a record-breaking 800 runners together, running a USA Track and Field and CARA certified 5K course thorough beautiful east Lake Bluff. Runners and supporters finished out race day with even more fun and food, including a hot chocolate station. The community and professional sponsors, including generous sponsor Forest Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, raised nearly $28,000 to be used directly toward PTO operating expenses, supporting student enrichment activities that provide cultural and educational learning experiences. lakebluffpumpkinchase.org
