Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) is hosting it 8th annual Twilight Run, Walk, Roll, and Post-Race Party on Saturday, September 12. It’s one of the largest certified 5K races in the Chicagoland-area, serving competitive and recreational runners and athletes with disabilities. The proceeds from this event will help GLASA provide year-round, daily adaptive sports programming and financial assistance through their Athlete Scholarship Fund. The start and finish of the race is the Gorton Community Center, with the actual race winding through the streets of Lake Forest. And, this year’s race will be in memory of Chuck Gudbrandsen, a long-time GLASA supporter and World War II veteran.
