“My family and I (Cecile, Jonathan, 15, and Elizabeth, 12) have lived in Lake Forest for nearly 11 years. We’re incredibly fortunate to be here and to have the opportunity to raise a family in the community. Having grown up in Central Illinois in a family that always believed it was important to give back (church, school, community), it was just natural for me to want to do the same.
“After Mayor [James] Cowhey resigned to take a new job in Texas, I was asked to fill his role, and then was formally elected by our residents in April. I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve Lake Forest.”
1. Lake Forest Day.
“It’s a special event for young and old alike that truly brings the community together and marks the beginning of the end of summer.”
2. Christmas Eve Mass at the Church of St. Mary
“After a hectic few weeks, it’s an opportunity to stop, reflect, and remember the true meaning of the season.”
3. Golf at Conway Farms
“Spring, summer, or fall, it truly is an extraordinary place. Hosting the BMW Championship there
this fall will be exciting for the entire community.”
4. Al fresco dining in the summer with my family in downtown Lake Forest
“With so many great restaurants in town, it can be difficult to choose.”
5. And my “non-Lake Forest item”…my iPhone
“It would be almost impossible to keep up with everything related to work, the City, and family without it!”
