More than 150 madras-loving guests filtered in and out of the grand opening fête for the newly minted J.McLaughlin store on Market Square in Lake Forest during the evening of April 21. CEO and President Steve Siegler was on hand to meet the customers that will be shopping at his newest venture—one of seven new J.McLaughlin stores opening in 2011. A generous 15 percent of the evening’s proceeds went to the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago and their 2011 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens. The 1,170-square-foot location will house classic, season-less American sportswear for men, women, and kids. Brothers Kevin and Jay McLaughlin opened their first store 32 years ago at 74th Street and Third Avenue on New York’s Upper East Side and currently have 45 locations nationwide.
