Highwood-based Longitud315, at 315 Waukegan Ave, Waukegan, celebrates garlic as it welcomes two Colombian chefs to Highwood, Illinois for Garlic Fest and A Week of Colombian Flavors. Chef Tony Castillo will be joined by guest chefs Santiago Romero and pastry chef Andrea Montoya of Harry Sasson Restaurant in Cartagena, Colombia to showcase authentic Colombian dishes at Longitud315 on August 13, 14 & 17 and cooking up Colombian street food at Garlic Fest in Highwood on August 16.
Some of the featured mouthwatering dishes include: Grilled Lamb Chops, Arepas with Grilled Corn, Chimichirri with Plantains, Steak, Chicken and Chorizo Skewers with Garlic Foam, Almond Cake with Garlic Marmalade, Dark Chocolate Gelato with Caramelized Garlic, La Luna Mescal Margaritas with Garlic Salt and Grilled Lime.
