Do you love sipping wine, going shopping and helping others?
Well, we have the event for you.
Indeed, each year, Barrington’s most glamourous and philanthropic women come together to enjoy a luxurious day of shopping and fashion as part of the Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon.
Yet, at the end of the day, it’s what the event raises for charity that remains in the hearts of so many.
“I’m sure the feelings of accomplishment will be overwhelming,” explains Rachana Zubelik, who is a co-chair for this year’s event “Rosé All Day … SIP, SHOP and SERVE.” “BJWC, which was founded in 1936, may be a small organization, but it makes an impact on so many lives.”
“I believe in the “ripple effect of kindness,” adds fellow co-chair Katie Jasper. “It starts as a small, single act, but then spreads outward affecting many. Our actions can have a real and long-lasting effect on the world.”
More than 20 charities will directly benefit from the annual event, which will take place Saturday November 9 at the Stonegate Conference and
Banquet Centre in Hoffman Estates. From Barrington Youth and Family Services to JourneyCare to BACOA/Meals on Wheels, the event serves as yet another extension into the community which BJWC serves.
“BJWC is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve women, children, and seniors through our grants and scholarships,” explains Zubelik of the organization’s philanthropic mission to enhance the quality of life of the youth, elderly, abused, and underprivileged in the Barrington Area. “Rosé All Day … SIP, SHOP and SERVE’ is one of our largest fundraising events and sets the tone for the remainder of the year.”
And which businesswoman, breakout TV personality, and philanthropist inspired this elegant theme?
Well, you might be surprised.
“Real Housewives’ star Lisa Vanderpump herself has a style that is just very elegant, classy, and feminine with an over-the-top luxurious feel to it,” admits Jasper. “Therefore we wanted our room to embody that same spirit for our guests. In fact, Vanderpump Rosé has already signed on to sponsor the the Rosé welcome drink served during the event and helped secure reservations at Vanderpump’s hottest clubs and restaurants for our live auction.”
“We were inspired to create a feel for our decor to match Vanderpump’s motto that “life should always be diamonds and rosé,” adds Jasper. “Rachana and I wanted to come up with a theme that has never been done before and something that would definitely speak to the demographic of the women who would be attending. We thought it might be fun to have a theme that inspires a girls’ night out kind of feel.”
This theme will be felt throughout the room thanks to a plethora of blush pink rose gold accents, chic décor, and gorgeous array of roses, greenery, diamonds, and candelabras.
“Last year’s vibe had a very whimsical, fun, and playful feel about it,” says Jasper. “This year, we want to showcase the glamorous, sophisticated, and stylish women who attend each year by creating an atmosphere that is beautiful and glitzy, yet classy and elegant at the same time.”
Both co-chairs have spent countless hours tweaking what has already been a winning formula throughout the years, coming up with small tweaks to make the event even more exciting.
“We will have a lot more wine-inspired raffles and auction items, girlfriend getaway packages, and other items that will create a feeling of luxury and fun for the women attending,” says Jasper. “Each year the chairs definitely put their own special touches and surprises into the event to keep the attendees anticipating this luncheon each year.”
Of course, they couldn’t do any of this without each other, along with a long list of strong and philanthropic women with the common goal of helping those who need it.
“Being connected to the community through various volunteer opportunities has been such a wonderful way to enjoy all that Barrington has to offer,” adds Jasper.
“It takes so many strong and supportive women to make this event a success and we are so grateful to each and every one of them,” says Zubelik. “It can be truly remarkable to see what can be achieved working together as a team.”
