Imagine a facial that not only made you feel amazing, but literally left your skin looking years younger. Many spa treatments make such promises but with the help of luxury European brands and a preventative, non-invasive focus, a series of personalized services at Wellness for Eternity in downtown Barrington delivers.
Karolina Dolecka, a certified nutrition therapist, health coach, and owner of the elegant new medical spa and wellness center, says clients continue to marvel at the results.
“True beauty comes from within, and that’s what we are tapping into,” explains Dolecka, a native of Poland and mother of four. “Once people try the face treatment with Biologique, they are transformed. That is the beginning of their quest for holistic and natural beauty.”
When Wellness for Eternity opened last summer, the spa menu of skin treatments was built around the Eminence Organic Skin Care line from Hungary. With the fall addition of Biologique, a premier luxury brand from France, Dolecka’s spa is now ranking only second to the much-acclaimed spa at The Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago.
“It’s hard to describe what makes the Biologique experience so special,” she says, explaining how a personalized 90-minute facial starts with a welcoming massage that promotes lymphatic drainage and elimination of toxins. “Our specially trained estheticians only work on one side of the client’s face at a time with the customized massage and facial. When they finish one side, they hand a mirror to the customer so you can see one side of your face is lifted and you can literally see it in the mirror. Your eye, mouth, cheek—everything is lifted up.”
The results from the facials and eye treatments are undeniable, and are followed with complimentary consultation and recommendations of products to continue the progress and keep the skin in optimal health. A favorite for winter is Sister’s Ageless Beauty oil, a creation with prickly pear as a main ingredient enhanced by Frankincense, geranium, and rose.
“Many of my clients start coming to me after their face treatments to talk about small things they can do to curb food cravings and lead a healthier lifestyle,” says Dolecka. “We try to get that beauty from the inside through nutrition and a holistic lifestyle, trying to avoid surgeries and things like Botox.”
Dolecka, herself a natural beauty, author, and former dancer, has been thinking about the idea of Wellness for Eternity since she was a young mother in Barrington.
“I had the idea of opening a holistic mom’s meeting place when I had three little kids,” she explains. “I was always busy and couldn’t find five minutes of free time for myself. I wanted to connect with other moms with this holistic approach to educate ourselves together and learn more about life, about beauty, and about preventative things—as much as we could do with little kids running around!”
When her youngest child was old enough to start school, Dolecka decided it was finally time to put a new face on an old concept.
“The universal truth that inspired me is that we cannot stop time,” she says. “We are all getting older, day by day. But as we age, every woman still wants to feel beautiful and look beautiful. With my holistic habits and lifestyle—and the rejuvenating results that come from European oils and skin treatments like the ones we offer from Biologique—that natural beauty can endure time, without surgery or invasive interventions.”
Six months after opening, Wellness for Eternity is thriving and building a legion of devoted clients. Whether they stop in for a youth-inducing Biologique face treatment prior to
a big event, or are on a strict regimen that includes wellness counseling, nutrition consultations, and long-term skin care, Dolecka says she could not be more pleased with the welcome she and her team (which includes her sister from Poland) have received.
“We are very excited and very lucky,” she adds. “They say that beauty is only skin deep, but we go even further to unlock the youth and natural vitality that lies within.”
