The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Signal Hill Chapter of Barrington, IL installed new officers for the upcoming 2017-2019 term. Outgoing Regent Kathy Boyle and Honorary Regent Linda Wichman officiated as incoming Regent Deborah Edlund, Second Vice Regent Sue Chemler, Recording Secretary Peggy Liptak, and Corresponding Secretary Kathy Casey were sworn into their respective offices.
Incoming First Vice Regent Ann Wilkerson was not present. This board will provide plans for fundraising, education, and volunteer participation honoring the tenets of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, setting fundraising goals and establishing educational programs for chapter members.
Signal Hill raises funds throughout the year and distributes to 501 (c) (3) organizations, whose missions support DAR’s mission of education, historic preservation, patriotism, conservation, and Native American issues. The chapter was founded in 1972, and is dedicated to preserving history, promoting patriotism, conservation and historic awareness in our community, and securing America’s future through better education for children.
