Melanie Parsons, the number one real estate agent in Barrington for Keller Williams, believes that to truly be an expert in your field, you must constantly be a student, always studying, learning and exploring new ideas. After 12 years in real estate and close to $100 million in sales, Parsons is good at what she does. But she wasn’t always in real estate and came to it after a career as an account executive for cosmetic giant Estee Lauder, and later Regional Makeup Artist for Chanel. Though seemingly unrelated, the abilities to market a product and work with people creatively have helped immensely in real estate. A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and strong visual sense have contributed to Parsons’ success.
