What is on the horizon? We’re planning a vacation to the Amalfi Coast and Sicily this summer with our dear friends.
Mantra? “The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm.”
Best grooming tip? A great moisturizer like Crème de la Mer and a sunless tanner for face and body.
Guilty pleasure? Binge watching an entire season of a great television show.
Favorite foods? An authentic, Sicilian pasta dinner; “Barbera Family” recipes are my absolute favorite.
Music you love? I love all genres of music. If I am relaxed, I love new age like Enigma or Enya. If I am energetic, I love high energy dance/hip hop music; if I am somewhere in the middle, I love to listen to country.
Best advice ever given to you? Things happen for a reason.

Earliest memory? Spending summers on the beach with my family in Boston.
When you wake up, you? Go downstairs and pour a cup of already brewed coffee.
Before bed you? Text or call my daughter at college and say goodnight.
What is on your bookshelf? The entire series of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon—it is historical fiction, a love story.

Driving music? When I drive around with my children, I listen to their music, which I secretly love. But when I am by myself, I get very nostalgic and revert back to the 70s and 80s.
Favorite place to eat? On the patio at Barrington Hills Country Club.
Shop? My favorite place to shop in Barrington is Long & Co. Jewelers. Although most of the time I’m just window shopping, their jewelry is so unique and beautiful that I keep an open, active wish list.
Best thing about the Country? One of the strongest attributes of Barrington is the support our community brings to those in need.
Worst thing about the Country? Canadian National Railway—21 times a day!
The perfect day? When my whole family is home and we actually have dinner together.
WHEN IN TOWN
Your style is? Mixing trend pieces in unexpected ways. I love mixing jeans, leathers, silks, and laces with high heels and ornate jewelry.
Can’t leave the house without? A huge appetite. There are endless choices of incredible restaurants.
Driving music? I am usually on my phone trying to make plans with old friends—no music!
Place to eat? I love to start out on a rooftop like The Terrace or Nomi. My favorite restaurant is RM Champagne Salon on Green Street; it is tucked away and charming.
Shop? I love smaller boutiques like Barney’s or Intermix.
Best thing about Town? Besides the beauty of the lake and skyline, I love the energy of the city and it’s people—all day and all night!
Worst thing about town? The traffic!
The perfect day? A long walk along the lake, shopping on the Mag Mile, and an intimate dinner with family or friends.
