The Rotary Club of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff and North Chicago Rotary Club last week delivered school book back packs to new Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Waukegan.
With fall approaching, your beach days may be dwindling, but not so for the Lake Forest High School sailing team, which is ranked No. 1 in the Midwest. The team, which is open to all LFHS students, sails clear through to Halloween and even into early November.
The Lake Forest High School Foundation awarded its one-millionth dollar in grants this month. The lucky grant to tip the cumulative total over the $1,000,000 mark was awarded to Social Studies department chair, Dr. Jim Gantt, for two classroom sets of iPads, preloaded with interactive e-textbooks and apps.
