Supporters of nonprofit Hands of Peace gathered at the Chicago Botanic Garden on April 7 for a unique benefit featuring past alumni of the group’s teen leadership program. Noam Preminger, a 2011 Israeli participant, and Zinat Kabbani, a 2009 Palestinian Citizen of Israel participant, were among the speakers, recounting the significant impact the summer program in Chicago had on them. The Seasons of HOPE Benefit raised $135,000 for the teen leadership program which brings American and Middle Eastern high school students together for three weeks each summer with a goal of empowering them to raise their voices and work for peace. handsofpeace.org
