HIGHWOOD – The City of Highwood is excited to announce the approval of Webster Place – a 14-unit new construction townhouse project, scheduled for groundbreaking early June 2018. The development will consist of 2, 3-story, 7-unit buildings located adjacent to Downtown Highwood just east of Sheridan Road, between Webster and Clay Avenues. The project will be led by developer Berger Investment Group, Linden Group Architects and Kinzie Builders, LLC.
“This townhouse development is part of a larger trend to bring new and stylish residential options to Highwood,” says Mayor Charles Pecaro. “People are looking for high end features such as stainless steel, granite countertops and wood floors and we will keep working with developers to deliver housing options to keep Highwood a desirable place to live and play for years to come.”
With completion scheduled for Fall 2018, Webster Place will offer tuck-under townhomes with attached 2-car garages, priced from the upper $300,000s. There will be 2 & 3 bedroom/2.5 bath unit mix, ranging from 1,800 to 2,066 square feet. The stylish units will feature hardwood flooring throughout the main level, full overlay maple cabinets with 42″ uppers in Kitchen, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliance package.
“Over the past three years we have worked hard to implement the Transit Oriented Development Plan to add residential units near our train station and walkable to Highwood’s famous restaurants and entertainment district,” says Scott Coren, City Manager. “We are excited to work with Berger Investment Group, Linden Group Architects and Kinzie Builders on this new construction townhome development.”
