WINNETKA – The Walgreens that was expected to open in May in the Hubbard Woods business district in Winnetka will likely be opening in early June.
The schedule change was caused by a delay in the drugstore’s pharmacy license.
“There was a slight delay in processing the license, but we are moving forward and plan to open the new drugstore in early June,” Phil Caruso, a media relations representative for Walgreens, told DailyNorthShore.
The Walgreens pharmacy is opening a new location at 925 Green Bay Road, in a storefront formerly home to Mrs. Green’s Neighborhood Market, a New York-based boutique grocery that closed 10 months after opening.
While the space was fully renovated by Mrs. Green’s, Walgreens has added signage and other features signature to Walgreens pharmacies.
