Guard Yianni Mavrakis was the only senior receiving consistent — and meaningful — playing time this winter.

Things were a little up and down for the Titans (9-19). The “up” came against some decent nonconference foes. They beat 19-game winner Warren, 24-game winner St. Viator, 17-game winner — and regional champ — Fremd and 17-game winner — and Ralson’s ex-school — Geneva.

And then, there were the near misses: losing by one point to New Trier and by two points to Evanston in overtime.

But the real “down” for GBS came in league play. The Titans went 0-10 in the CSL South.
