Our lovely Village of Lake Bluff is undergoing unwanted changes. It has always been a utopian place for residents to raise families, safely and quietly for many years. Then it was “discovered” and our once lovely village was deemed necessary to meet the needs of some of the residents- STR’s, beekeeping, chickens, and of course, lots of wine.
Beekeeping, chickens and of course, everyone needs wine.
The fact is that STR’s bring in those whose interest is on the Village’s behalf, chickens can be noisy, and we have already had a beekeeping incident a few years back when a resident quietly kept a hive in his back yard and the bees stung a neighbor child who went into anaphylaxis. Bees do not stay in their own backyard .
Let the Village stay a peaceful place. Maybe some may see changes as personal gain.
