LAKE FOREST – The Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago will sponsor the 50th Annual Antiques & Treasures in the Field on Sunday, September 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Deer Path Middle School, located on Deerpath Road, one mile east of Highway 41 in Lake Forest.
Featuring more than 40 quality Midwest dealers, highlights include a bake sale with a variety of gourmet delicacies along with the ever-popular Treasures Tent filled with items from many Lake Forest estates. The Treasures Tent is typically the first stop for many who attend this event and usually brings in about one-third of the sales. Vendors will appeal to all tastes, featuring a variety of antique, Mid-Century modern, vintage, refurbished, or up-cycled furniture, home goods, décor, and more. Additional revenue is also generated through the sale of raffle tickets for a variety of prizes. Tickets will be sold the day of the event and in the weeks preceding it within local communities.
Chapter members are thrilled to have Associate Board Member Anna Schuster, owner of Anna’s Warehouse & Marketplace, serve as Honorary Chair this year. It is because of her dedication to the sale and the organization for decades that the antique sale has raised much needed funds and had such a vast Treasures Tent. This year, the Treasures Tent has the most items it has ever had and will increase its space by one third.
All proceeds benefit the Angel Harvey Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Community Health Center. The health center opened its new, four-story, 40,000-square-foot facility in Logan Square in 2005. The clinic provides high quality affordable medical, dental and ophthalmic care for women and children of working poor families in a community setting.
Admission to the antiques sale is $10; children and parking are free. The chapter thank Deer Path Middle School for allowing it to host this event.
