As a “dual-income, no kid” voter, I’ve never paid much attention to local school board races. But this one is different. Many of my neighbors — with school-aged children as well as empty nesters — have voiced their concern about this race and what is at stake. They encouraged me to do my homework on the qualifications and positions of the candidates.
That is why I am supporting the Caucus-nominated candidates — Tom Nemickas, Sally Davis, Ted Moorman, and Dave Lane — who are the first four listed on the ballot for D115 board. I believe they have the judgment, leadership, and business acumen our district needs to sustain our schools’ continued record of excellence.
