WINNETKA – Police received three separate reports of identity theft on Sept. 26 and 27, including:
- A Brier Street resident discovered that at 11:59 a.m. on Sept. 23, an unknown person or people used the victim’s personal identifiers to open department store credit card accounts.
- A resident of the 1200 block of Ash Street reported that between midnight on Sept. 3 and 11 p.m on Sept. 9, an unknown person or people made several unauthorized purchases on the victim’s Visa card totally $2,500.
- On the 1000 Block of Pine Street, a resident reported that between midnight on Sept. 19 and midnight on Sept. 26, an unknown offender or offenders used the victim’s personal identifiers to open an Amazon Rewards Visa credit card.
Also, a material theft was reported to police on Sept. 18; a victim reported that between 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 28, on the 100 block of Birch Street, an unknown offender or offenders stole two ladders and a stretch plank from behind the garage. Amount of loss is $1,200.
