HIGHLAND PARK – Acclaimed North Shore metal sculptor William Goldman has announced that, for the first time, he is offering private and group lessons in metal sculpting and metal working techniques.
The artist says that his classes “will emphasize artistic and creative idea generation throughout the lesson series.”
Goldman’s Highland Park studio is located at 3150 Skokie Valley Road (U.S. Highway 41). Several of his works line the west side of the highway between Old Elm Road and Route 22. For more than 20 years Goldman has exhibited in art fairs in Highland Park, Lake Forest, Glenview and Deerfield and during the winter in Miami, Florida.
Included in the offered curriculum are sessions in shop safety, oxygen/acetylene welding and cutting, arc welding (MIG), plasma electric/arc cutting and cold working, grinding and finishing.
