NORTHBROOK – The Northbrook Sports Center Pool will be open Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting. The pool is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 28 with the following preseason hours:
Weekend and Memorial Day
11 a.m.-7 p.m.: Open Swim
7-9 a.m.: Lap Swim Only
3-8 p.m.: Open Swim
The regular season and summer hours begin on Saturday, June 4, when Meadowhill Aquatic Center opens.
The Park District offers group and private swim instruction, water fitness classes, diving lessons, a competitive stroke clinic, water polo, pool parties and private evening rentals of the pools. Pool passes allow unlimited admission during the season and discounts on classes and rentals. Passes are on sale at Northbrook Park District Registration Offices and online with an Early Registration Discount through May 9.
The Park District will host several events at the pools this summer, including the Northbrook Cardboard Regatta, Youth Triathlon and Illinois State Lifeguard Games. The District will continue its partnership with the Northbrook Police Department to offer a free National Night Out event in August. And, Northbrook residents can receive Glencoe resident rates on beach tokens, sailing lessons and trellis rentals at the Glencoe Beach.
