WINNETKA — Winnetka Public Schools District 36 Superintendent Trisha Kocanda announced that Beth Carmody will assume the role of principal of Hubbard Woods School starting July 1, 2016.
Daniel Ryan, who currently serves as principal, but has been promoted to assistant superintendent of professional learning and human resources, will work with Carmody to ensure a seamless transition.
As principal of Hubbard Woods School, Carmody will be the instructional leader of the school, responsible for overseeing day-to-day and long-term operations and facilitating student, staff, and parent relations.
Carmody has 25 years of experience in education. She is now serving as principal at Rutledge Hall in Lincolnwood District 74. Prior to her current position, she was principal at Carmel School in Hong Kong, and she also was math instructional coach and differentiation coach in Deerfield District 109. She also was a student teacher supervisor at National-Louis University, where she gained familiarity with the Hubbard Woods School community.
Carmody holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Mary’s College and a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from National-Louis University.
