More than a century ago, Danish immigrant Jens Jensen, who lived in Wilmette for many years, came to revere the Midwestern natural landscape and to believe that it was a resource to be respected and preserved. Bachrach will illuminate Jensen’s belief that all human beings need to commune with nature, and highlight many of his most significant Prairie-style landscapes in Chicago and on the North Shore.
