For nine years I participated in as a Village Trustee and Village President many capital projects to make Winnetka a better place to live. First and foremost in my efforts were decisions that had the buy-in of our residents. Six new bridges, a new public safety building and a new public works building were just a few of the well thought out decisions that were made with the imput of a wonderful Village staff, dedicated Trustees and most importantly many Winnetkans. I am proud of those decisions that were realized within the budgets of our Village.
I take exception to the WHOA supported candidates, Carol Fessler, Marilyn Podromos and Kristin Ziv who seek to discredit the hundreds of hours spent by scores of dedicated people that wanted to make Winnetka a better place. Those efforts are STANDING TODAY as a reminder of the way Village elected officials, staff and our residents can work together to make Winnetka better.
