LAKE BLUFF – Lake Bluff School District 65 and Lake Bluff Public Library approved an intergovernmental agreement that will provide students residing in the unincorporated Knollwood area of District 65 access to library services. Most unincorporated Lake Bluff properties do not pay taxes to fund the Lake Bluff Library or any other public library. Residents of these properties must purchase a non-resident card from the Lake Bluff Library to use many library services.
The agreement will support and enrich the education of those students in District 65 who are in particular need of library services. Under the agreement, students residing in Knollwood will be eligible to obtain library cards at no cost to their families and may check out materials while they are students in District 65. The term of the agreement is for one year, but the School District and Library will consider renewing the agreement for future years.
