CHICAGO — Lookingglass Theatre’s Junior Board announces the 14th Annual Madhatter’s Ball, “The Madhatter’s Maritime Ball,” held at Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave., on Saturday, August 29. The VIP reception begins at 7 p.m. The event is from 8 p.m.-midnight with an after-party at the IO Rooftop Lounge at The Godfrey Hotel (127 W Huron St). Proceeds from the event will support the operation and expansion of Lookingglass’ acclaimed education and community programs, which encourage self-esteem and creativity in thousands of students every year. The Madhatter’s Ball is a high-profile fundraiser unlike any other. For the first time ever, the historic Water Works on Michigan Avenue will be transformed with a high-seas takeover worthy of the best sea-faring adventures. The evening includes one-of-a-kind performances, musical acts, DJs, dancing, costumes, specialty themed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this wonderful event and to help support Lookingglass’ commitment to creating new theatrical works and enhancing its Education and Community programs.
Attire is “nautical cocktail.” Attendees will have the chance to enter a costume contest for prizes. Costumes are optional, but hats are recommended. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
The Madhatter’s Maritime Ball is hosted by Kasey Foster and will honor Lookingglass Ensemble Members David Kersnar, Founder of the Lookingglass Education Department, and Thomas J. Cox, Master Teacher. The Madhatter’s Ball Event Chair is Jason Griffith.

Regular tickets (purchased before July 15) are $110 each and include the celebration at Water Works and admission to the after-party. VIP Tickets are $190 each and also include a VIP bar, enhanced gift bag, and other surprises. Virtual tables of eight tickets are also available for $1,500 (regular) or $2,000 (VIP).

About Lookingglass Theatre Company
