LAKE FOREST—An officer stopped a 21-year-old man for speeding and observed him trying to conceal an un-holstered pistol as he was taken into custody, police reports say.
The man, Christopher McCune, did not have a firearms owner identification card or a concealed carry permit. The officer also found cannabis in his car.
As a result, McCune was charged with speeding, felony unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of cannabis.
From the Lake Forest police blotter; please note that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
