Supporters of the Lake Forest High School Boosters enjoyed “A Night at the Races” during the organization’s annual fundraiser, held at Lake Forest Club. Guests hooted and hollered as large video screens aired six horse races throughout the night, as they placed playful bets. Co-chaired by Alex Karkazis, Pam Salm, and Nina Vallone, the night featured a robust silent auction and featured a buffet dinner and sundae bar. One of the night’s races was dedicated to Lexie Johnson, Coach Seven Johnson’ daughter who is battling cancer. The 270 in attendance raised around $40,000, going directly to LFHS Booster programs such as athletic equipment and coach development grants, concussion testing, spirit initiatives, and athlete awards.
