NORTHBROOK—An employee of a store on the 1000 block of Waukegan Road told police that someone entered the business on February 15th displaying a weapon, and demanded he give him the money from the store’s registers.
The employee opened the registers, but they had been emptied prior to the attempted robbery. When the alleged robber realized the cash drawers were empty, he exited the business through the front door.
Responding officers, along with the canine unit, tracked the alleged robber’s path to the rear parking lot, where the trail ended.
