AT LAKE FOREST ACADEMY: Highlighted by the play of Diago Quinn, Lake Forest Academy improved to 12-2 on Jan. 15 by downing visiting Cary-Grove 59-41.
The 6-foot-9 Quinn, a Monmouth University commit, finished the game with 13 points and six blocks.
It was the fifth win in row for the Caxys, who will host St. Patrick on Jan. 17 (2 p.m.).
AT NEW TRIER: Robbie Abuls, Ryan Haak and David Hammes led the way as the Trevians (9-6, 4-1) earned an easy 73-34 victory over visiting Waukegan on Jan. 15.
Abuls tallied 20 points, while Haak ended up with 16 points.
Hammes returned to the court after missing four games with a concussion. He wound up with 12 points.
New Trier will compete in the Rockford Jefferson Tournament. The Trevians will play two games on Jan. 17 and one game on Jan. 19.
AT GLENBROOK SOUTH: It’s been a tough go for the Titans.
GBS dipped under the .500 mark on Jan. 15, when it fell to visiting Maine South 61-33. It was the fifth straight loss for the Titans (8-9, 2-3).
George Mavrakis led GBS with 10 points.
