GLENVIEW—A resident of the 1600 block of Independence Avenue reported paying a contractor $3,900.00 to do work on the kitchen and stairwell. The contractor has not completed the work and the resident has not heard from them since December 8th. Police say complaints will be signed if the work is not completed.
A resident of the 2000 block of Valor Court reported on August 14th that unknown offender(s) set up an account using their personal information, in order to purchase a camcorder valued at $569.00. The merchandise was subsequently sent to an address in Texas.
The owner of a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported that a customer–with whom they had several issues–cut and ruined a $500.00 piece of merchandize with a box knife on December 12th.
On December 14th, a resident of the 600 block of Windsor Road reported that betweenDecember 1st and December 9th, someone stole jewelry from their master bedroom. The estimated loss is $3,200.00.
The owner of a home under construction in Glenview reported that a vehicle was parked on their driveway with two males standing outside when they arrived the morning of December 15th. The owner located two garbage cans filled with copper scrap moved from their original location to behind a dumpster, close to where the vehicle was parked. The two males got into the vehicle and left. The owner suffered no loss.
An employee of a business in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road reported the same two male offenders had stolen several bottles of alcohol on two different occasions: the morning of December 8th and the morning of December 11th. The total loss is estimated at $1,300.00. Complaints will be signed.
