Submitted by Mothers Trust Foundation:
“Look into the Future…One Child at a Time” at Mothers Trust Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, The Betty Bash, on Friday evening, October 25th, at Lake Forest College. Bring your sisters, mothers, co-workers and girlfriends and enjoy a wonderful evening of mystical fun while supporting Mothers Trust’s mission of meeting critical needs of Lake County’s most disadvantaged children.
Your good fortune begins with the evening’s entertainment, which includes magicians, tarot card readers, games and a DJ sure to get the place hopping. 20 local restaurants from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and the surrounding communities will provide tastes of their signature dishes, with complimentary drinks included. The event will feature a fabulous silent auction filled with wonderful treasures as well as an “auction” of actual cases in which Mothers Trust has performed magic, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Tickets are $90 until October 14th; $110 thereafter. Purchase tickets online at www.motherstrustfoundation.org, or by calling (847) 482-9189.
Who is Betty?
Betty is the wild and wacky alter-ego for all the beautiful, strong and dedicated women in Lake County who take care of everyone around them. When Betty sees children in need in Lake County, she doesn’t wait around for others to fix the problem. She jumps right in and gets involved – by hosting the Betty Bash!
About Mothers Trust Foundation
Mothers Trust Foundation provides emergency assistance to children in Lake County. Through the grants it gives to children and their families, Mothers Trust helps the least fortunate children with assistance that no other agency can provide. Each week, the Foundation reviews grant requests from social workers, school counselors and court officers who work with children in crisis. The average grant is only $80 per child, but it can be the opportunity for a child to join a sports team, play an instrument, or attend summer camp; the ticket to graduating on time or having the tools and uniforms required for class; and the gift of a lifetime to a child burdened by poverty. In the past 15 years, Mothers Trust Foundation has assisted more than 20,000 children from communities throughout Lake County with nearly $1.7 million in grants.
