On Thursday, October 26, Lake Forest Country Day School LFCDS) will host New York Times best-selling author Dr. Lisa Damour, whose book Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood has quickly become the informed and engaging go-to guide for parents of teenage girls. Dr. Damour blends years of experience with the latest research developments to provide sound, practical guidance to children and adolescents as well as their parents, teachers, and advocates. LFCDS believes the social emotional growth and well-being of each child is essential to successful learning both immediately and in future endeavors. The School began the Special Speaker Series to assist our community in gaining access to some of the world’s top experts in child development. Our fall series takes place outside of our state-of-the-art Innovation Center with seating in the stunning Green Bay Atrium. All lectures begin at 10:00 a.m. and close with a question-and-answer session. A book signing will follow the talk, and our speakers host a more intimate conversation in the school’s 15,000-volume Library for interested attendees. The LFCDS Special Speaker Series is free and open to the public.
